I’ve just finished and shipped this portrait on Thursday….a wedding present for my very lovely (I happen to think) new sister-in-law woman, who will be marrying my brother-in-law in Tours about six hours from now. The two older (and quite wonderful; I’ve spent a lot of time with them) children are from her brief-but-disastrous first marriage. The infant is the long-awaited biological grandchild (see Grandmaw beaming in the background?). I’m very relieved that Anne, by dint of her very literal labors, has gotten me off the hook regarding this particular responsibility.
