“In These Times” (pencil, pastel, and watercolor. 2018)
For better or worse, there are, of course, some days when i can do what I please. On a very regular basis, I get to spend my day doing something just because it makes me happy to be doing it. I do try to work paint/blahblahblah every day. I did this today…..taken from a markedly cluttered (but it was from “real life”) photograph by a Facebook pal/ fellow Sewanee alumnus friend, Kesia L. Carlson. Her comment concerning the original photograph was touching. This will, of course, be a gift to her. I just wanted to paint the subject today…..and, so, here we are……
