1997 or so….
I was pleased to be asked by the magazine to illustrate this short story, but I’ll admit that, afterwards, I never thought “Oh! this is just so PRETTY!…I’l have it framed and give it to Mother for Christmas!”.
Suffice it to say that the story (which was, indeed, quite powerful and well-written) was not exactly “The Diary of Little Miss Sunshine”……
