I just finished this today.  Herve and my longtime friend, Godfrey Herndon, will, I expect, understand…..

These good dogs of mine ( I raised and trained, insofar as they’re at all “trained”, all of them) DO, all done and said, wait by that door.

Good thing, I suppose,that I’m as faithful/loyal as they are.  That can’t be said of everything and everyone in this world, to say the very least.
