I’ve actually never met Ms. Urquhart (her nice husband, Tom, is Scottish), who lives in Charlotte, NC. She bought one of my pictures (this one, in fact) at the dog & Horse gallery in Charleston, though, and we’ve become correspondents since.
Since she’s very funny and pleasant, I’ve never questioned her too closely….but my good guess is that she’s not, actually, ORIGINALLY FROM AROUND HERE….
However, Scarcely anyone is, these days….
I have been corrected, by the way, and by several internet folks who seem to have gone to the website…..the dog is a “Chart Polski !!!!!” (apparently, a Polish variety of a Greyhound)….and I thought I was a nitpicker?? (I reacted by simply re-naming the picture “Hound”)
