Bassett Hounds are yet another breed that I don’t understand at all and probably won’t have the time (in this lifetime) to ever get to know. They’re among those breeds that everyone seems to assume will be “cute”; all the ones I’ve ever known (like every chihauhau I’ve ever known) are utterly glad to chomp the hell out of any stranger’s wrist. They are, nonetheless, amusing from a distance.
